Its a girl!

From the day we found out i was pregnant Kar was so sure that we were having a girl. Every time it came to mind i always called the baby a boy.  We went to great harvest a couple days after finding out i was pregnant and Kar got a sugar cookie like usual. He picked one with blue sprinkles and when he went to take a bite he noticed one pink sprinkle. He was absolutely convinced he knew we were having a girl. We decided to go pay to have an elective ultrasound at 14 weeks to find out what we were having. Kar was pretty excited to know that he was right all along. We were having a baby girl!
As soon as we found out what we were having we both instantly decided that her nursery would be decorated in seahorses.
If there was one thing for sure. We knew our little girl would not go without. She was spoiled from the day we found out she would be joining our family.

Maternity pictures

We had been trying to decide when the best time to have maternity pictures would be. Karston was working in North Dakota most of my pregnancy. We were never sure when he would be home so we decided to do them sooner then later. So we decided to do them when i was 34 weeks. Karston wasn't sure about being in the pictures at all. He was a great sport though and even did the dreaded kissing the belly pictures he said would definitely not be happening.

Surprise

On April 13th, 2014 after testing for several days i used the last pregnancy test i had at home. After several negative tests i assumed this would be no different. To my absolute surprise it was a BFP! I always pictured finding out I was pregnant and making a fun creative announcement to Karston. Once i seen that BFP there was no waiting i ran into the bedroom and woke Karston up with "Good Morning Daddy." At first you could tell he was still very much asleep but it set in pretty quick. He got the biggest grin on his face and all he could say was "really!" It definitely happened a lot quicker then we had expected. We had just decided three weeks before to start trying to start a family. After trying to convince Karston for over 4 years that it was time to start a family. It was finally happening!

Our first appointment ended in a huge disappointment! The doctors office didn't do their first ultrasound until you were 20 weeks unless they couldn't find the heartbeat at 12 weeks. We decided to change doctors and had the next appointment at 10 weeks 4 days. We finally got to see our new member of the Davis family!
